Superfoods er fødevarer – for det meste plante-baseret som menes at have et højt ernæringsmæssigt indhold og, er dermed godt for ens helbred.

Superfoods er sund og på et meget grundlæggende niveau, siges at være rig på bestemte næringsstoffer. Dette kunne være en antioxidant, som menes at afværge kræft; et sundt fedt, som menes at forhindre hjertesygdomme; fibre, som menes at forebygge diabetes og fordøjelsesproblemer.

Hos QKaffe vil vi gerne præsentere vores superfoods fra Peru. På grund af de mikroklimaer og varieret topografi, Peru er hjem for tusindvis af fødevarer, som ikke findes andre steder på kloden, hvoraf mange bugner i potente næringsstoffer. Selv før europæerne nogensinde kom til den nye verden, disse superfoods er blevet daglig kost og ernæring for inkaerne, som var kendt for deres kampfærdigheder, deres udholdenhed og deres styrke.

Længe kendt for helbredende egenskaber i deres oprindelige Andes og Amazonas, disse værdifulde ressourcer bliver nu importeret til internationale markeder. Så det er en spændende tid at stifte bekendtskab med disse ressourcer og integrere dem i vores kost. Ved at tilføje disse superfoods til den daglige kost vil det øge sundhed og vitalitet. Men husk, at det ikke er en mirakel mad. Ved at tilføje en del af disse næringsrige superfoods til en smart kost af fuldkorn, frisk frugt, magert kød og de gode fedtstoffer, kan vi sammen forbedre helbredet.

Vigtigst er, at alle vores superfoods produkter er økologisk dyrket og bæredygtigt.
Vi forstår, at disse produkter er meget nyt i Danmark, men der er ikke et bedre tidspunkt at introducere det til det sundhedog miljøbevidst danske marked. Så hvad der er i vente?

1. “Hvordan bruger jeg superfoods?”

Du behøver ikke bekymre dig. For at hjælpe dig vil vi publicere opskrifter, som vi har skabt eller genskabt indeholdende en eller flere af disse superfoods. Så vidt muligt vil vi bruge disse produkter i sunde alternativer. Vi har dog også taget nogle favoritter og dagligdags retter og indarbejde disse superfood produkter som erstatning eller som en ekstra ingrediens for at vise, at du stadig kan nyde at forberede og spise de mad, du elsker med den ekstra bonus – at være sund!

2. Få mere at vide om hvert enkelte produkt

I vores blog vil vi sætte fokus på hver superfood for at hjælpe forklare produkternes oprindelse, anvendelser og fordele.

3. En startpakke

Er en god måde at begynde at bruge vores superfoods. Pakken vil indeholde små prøver af dine valgte produkter i en smuk æske. Dette vil være tilgængelige online og fra vores butik.

4. “Live” præsentationer

Vi synes, det altid er lettere at lære, når vi ser, hvordan tingene gøres. Så vi vil holde præsentationer med vores superfoods fra tid til anden. Det er også en meget god mulighed for os at møde hinanden!

Superfoods are foods — mostly plant-based — thought to be nutritionally dense and thus good for one’s health.

Superfoods are healthful and, at a very basic level, are said to be rich in particular nutrients. This could be an antioxidant, thought to ward off cancer; a healthy fat, thought to prevent heart disease; fiber, thought to prevent diabetes and digestive problems.

We at Q-Kaffe would like to present to you superfoods from Peru. Because of the microclimates and diverse topography, Peru is home to thousands of foods found nowhere else on the planet, many of which are staggering in their content of potent nutrients. Even before Europeans ever came to the new world these superfoods have been consumed by the Incas who were known for their fighting skills, their endurance, and their strength fueled by a diet made up of nutritionally dense, new world foods.

Long known for healing properties in their native Andes and Amazonian regions, these precious resources are now being imported to international markets. So this is an exciting time to start learning more about these resources and integrate them into your diet. By adding these superfoods to your diet it would boost health and vitality. But remember, there is no one miracle food. By adding a variety of nutrient-rich superfoods to a smart diet of whole grains, fresh fruits, lean meats and good fats, you can jump start your health and increase your longevity.

Most importantly all our superfood products are organically grown and sustainable.

We understand that these products are very new in Denmark, but there isn’t a better time to introduce it to the health and environmentally conscious Danish market. So what is in store?

1.“How do I use them?”

….you may wonder…well, do not fret. To help you along we will be publishing recipes which we have created or recreated featuring one or more of these superfoods. Wherever possible we will use these products in healthier alternatives. However we have also taken some perennial favourites and everyday foods and incorporate these superfood products as a substitute or as an additional ingredient to show you that you will still be able to enjoy preparing and eating foods you love with the added bonus of being healthy!

2. Get to know each product

A blog feature focusing on each superfood will also help you to understand the origins, uses and benefits of the products.

3. A start package

Is a good way to begin using our superfoods. The package will include small samples of your chosen products in a beautiful box. This will be available online and from our boutique.

4. Live demonstrations

We feel it’s always easier to learn when we see how things are done. So we will be holding demonstrations with our superfoods from time to time. It is also a very nice way for us to meet each other!
